Choosing the right candle size helps you get the best scent experience in your space.

Smaller rooms may only need a 9 oz candle, while larger rooms or open-concept areas may need a 17 oz candle — or even two.

At Pearl & Reed Candle Co., our candles are made to have an outstanding hot throw. They are not made for the barely-there scent type person. Some scents are naturally softer than others, but if you feel like you cannot smell your candle enough, you may simply need a larger candle for your room.

9 oz Candles

Our 9 oz candles are best for smaller spaces such as bathrooms, bedrooms, offices, laundry rooms, entryways, or cozy corners.

17 oz Candles

Our 17 oz candles are best for larger rooms, kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms, family rooms, and open spaces where you want a fuller scent experience.

Open-Concept Spaces

For rooms that flow together, such as a kitchen, living room, and dining room combined, you may need two 17 oz candles to create a balanced scent throughout the space. Placing one on each side of the room helps the fragrance carry more evenly.

Our Simple Recommendation

Choose a 9 oz candle for smaller rooms.

Choose a 17 oz candle for larger rooms or when you want a stronger scent.

Choose two 17 oz candles for large open-concept spaces or rooms that flow together.

** The scent is strongest when there is a full melt pool across the entire top of the candle **
